TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW-TV) Winter weather is impacting Northeast Kansas drivers in the second full day of Spring.

Shawnee County Dispatch reported four different non-injury accidents around 7:30 a.m. on Friday as a result of the wintry mix.

Accident locations were at I-470 and Huntoon, 52nd & S. 75 Hwy, 77th & S. 75 Hwy, and I-70 and Croco.

Authorities say two people went to the hospital as a result of an accident at 57th & S. 75 Hwy. this morning. Their injuries are described as non life-threatening.

Dispatch said bridges and overpasses were especially dangerous.

Several accidents closed highways in Shawnee County Thursday night. Those prompted Topeka Police to implement Phase III Accident Reporting. After crews treated the roads, TPD returned to normal reporting at about 4:40 a.m. Friday.
