TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- The shift of the eastbound and westbound I-70 traffic that was scheduled for Tuesday and then Wednesday has now been delayed to Wednesday night and Thursday morning because of storm related issues.
One lane in each direction will be moved to the newly completed westbound I-70 lanes due to bridge repair and resurfacing work and should last through late 2014.
Expect delays on the eastbound I-70 to 3rd street exit ramp after evening rush hour Thursday when it will be closed for bridge repair work through late 2014.
Thursday morning traffic will be switched to the right lanes on both bridges so crews can complete pavement and traffic installation work when the lanes will be placed side by side on the westbound lanes.
