Hundreds of Walkers March For Babies

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)_ Several hundred walkers gathered at the Statehouse Saturday to march for a good cause.

Walkers participated in the Annual March for Dimes March for Babies event Saturday which started at 11a.m.

13's Melissa Brunner emceed the event and 13's meteorologist Drew Switzer, his baby, Max and wife Leslie participated in the event for "Team Max."

They along with mothers, fathers, co-workers and anyone passionate about babies' health walked in support.

Nearly half a million babies are born too soon each year and organizers say money raised at the event supports research programs to help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies.
