Homeowner Helps Police Catch Suspected Burglar

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Topeka homeowner helped police nab a man he said burglarized his home Wednesday night (10/03).

Police say a man arrived home in the 700 block of SW Vesper at about 8:30 p.m. and saw the suspect leaving his house with some of the homeowner's things.

The homeowner told police he chased the suspect into the yard and held him until officers arrived.

Blayne Blevins, 20, was booked into jail on Burglary, Theft, Aggravated Assault and Possession of Marijuana.
