Rain heavy at times will move across northeast Kansas this afternoon and tonight that could lead to flooding. Severe storms are also possible through this evening with 60 mph wind gusts and hail up to the size of quarters.
Junction City, Kan. (WIBW)-- A police search warrant in Junction City revealed explosives made by an area resident.
Shortly after 12:30 a.m., Junction City police executed a search warrant at 1701 Bel Air drive in Junction City after witnesses informed police a resident was making homemade explosives.
Police entered the home without incident and the search revealed a homemade explosive devise that was then collected and disposed of by members of the Riley County Police Department Bomb Squad.
Police arrested 26 year old Andrew Vancleave from Junction City. He was booked into the Geary County Detention Center on the charge of criminal use of an explosive.
