Holiday Inn Converting To Ramada

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A recognizable Topeka landmark hotel is undergoing a brand change as well as other improvements.

Beginning March 1, The Holiday Inn-West will be converted to a Ramada and will conduct business as the Topeka Ramada - West.

“We are excited to announce that we are strengthening our relationship with Wyndham Hotels” said Brett Oetting, Senior Vice President/Director of Operations for Parrish Hotels. “Parrish Hotels has a long standing history with the Ramada brand and as recently as last year was a national award winner for the second year in a row.”

Along with the name change, comes upgrades to the rooms.

“We will be completing the instillation of flat screen TV’s, microwaves, and refrigerators in all rooms in addition to complimentary wireless internet in the entire hotel.” said James Parrish, President and CEO of Parrish Hotels.

The hotel will feature several deals in the capital city. Sunday through Thursday, the hotel will have a happy hour in the onsite bar, the Landmark Grill. Free drinks and light hors d'oeuvres specials will start the evening off during check-in and $3.00 "you call it" drink specials will be available for hotel guests from 5- 9 p.m. along with coupons for dinner.

The Topeka Ramada - West is a 197 room hotel with 10,000 square feet of meeting space. The Kansas Ballroom is ideal for wedding receptions and can seat up to 350 people. The hotel also has the largest water slide, the Turbo Twister, in Topeka at just over 3 stories tall, fitness room, game room, Landmark Grill, and Pantry restaurant which is opened every morning offering free breakfast for hotel guests.
