TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Topeka Metro is taking its "How to Ride the Bus" Clinic to USD 501 high schools this week. The purpose is to help students learn how to ride the bus and to educate them on the "Rules of the Road."
Topeka Metro General Manager Susan Duffy says learning to ride the bus can be intimidating, but drivers and staff members are there to help.
Duffy says the buses are an economical and convenient way for students to travel.
How to read a map and schedule, as well as how the fare box functions were some of the topics discussed with the students.
Thursday, the Topeka Metro visited Topeka High School in the NEA Parking Lot across from Topeka High.
On Friday, the Metro will be at Topeka West High School at 9:25 a.m. Highland Park High School was visited Wednesday.
