TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)- Helping Hands Humane Society hosted a free pet preparedness seminar Saturday.
Volunteers from the Kansas Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross discussed how humans can be prepared in a disaster, but it was the humane society that was looking out for the pets.

Last year Helping Hands started the free seminar series that focus' on pet welfare topics. They are always free and open to the public. Past topics have included using music to train your pets, heart worm disease and senior pet health.
