Heavy Wind, Hail & Rain Blow Through Topeka

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Heavy wind, hail and rain pounded the Capital City around 6:30 Sunday night.

13 News found multiple tree limbs and a power line down in the 300 block of Swygart street- that's near Scott Magnet School.

Neighbors were concerned about the live power line being down in their neighborhood. They told 13 News that crews had assessed the situation and told them that other areas of town we a higher priority.

The line appeared to supply power to street lights in the area.

Westar was reporting about 200 customers without power in Topeka Sunday night. Widespread damage was not reported.
