NEMAHA CO, Kan. (WIBW-TV) A trial date has been set for a Sabetha man accused of sexually abusing a child.
KNZA radio is reporting that Christopher Sperling, 49, will appear in Nemaha County Court April 11th for a Preliminary Hearing.
The registered sex offender was arrested in January 2013 after an investigation by the Sabetha Police Department.
Sperling previously spent four years in jail after an attempted rape of a 9-year-old girl from Clay Center.
He is also facing felony charges for allegedly trying to escape from jail in March 2013.
Sperling is currently being held at the Nemaha County Jail on $250,000 bond.
