TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A suspect in the stabbing at a Dillon's grocery store last year learned his fate on Friday. Anthony Downing was sentenced to 6 years in federal prison.

Downing stabbed 26 year-old Joshua Nottingham, who worked at the store at the Dillons near Huntoon and Lane, several times in April 2013.

In February, Downing pleaded no contest to attempted intentional second degree murder. He tried to withdraw that plea in May.

Downing was also ordered to pay $100,000 in restitution.
