Great Danes Gather At Kansas Expocentre

The Kansas Expocentre is hosting more than volleyball games this week.

Great Danes of all colors, ages and very large sizes gathered at the Kansas Expocentre today as the "For The Love Of The Breed" dog show continued, hosted by the Great Dane Club of America.

Breeders and owners from all over the nation came to show off their gentle giants for a week full of competition. A total of 600 Great Danes participated in the week's events.

Each dog was separated by age and gender, and the winners of those categories faced off for the ultimate title today: Best In Show.

The competition is serious, but it's all for the love of the dog.

"Every year all of us get together at a national specialty to celebrate this wonderful breed," Dave Miller, President of the Great Dance Club of America, said.
