Governor Appoints Former KS Gas VP As Sec. Of Administration

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback announced Monday the nomination of Jim Clark as Secretary of the Kansas Department of Administration.

“I am excited to have Jim joining our team,” Governor Brownback said. “His work as a Certified Public Accountant and Vice President have made him uniquely suited for this position. ”

Jim is former Vice President of Kansas Gas Service, now a division of Oneok, Inc. Prior to that he was Vice President at Westar, Inc. Jim earned a bachelor degree in Accounting from Regis University in Denver and is a Certified Public Accountant. Jim currently serves as the Chairman of the Ethics Committee of the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

“I look forward to giving back to the state that has given me so much throughout my career,” said Jim Clark.

The mission of the Kansas Department of Administration is to serve the taxpayers of Kansas and state employees with excellent customer service.

The appointment will require confirmation by the Kansas Senate.

Clark succeeds Dennis Taylor, who was appointed Executive Director of the Kansas Lottery.
