TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Golf enthusiasts took to the course for a good cause Monday.
More than 200 golfers came out for the Stormont-Vail Foundation's 13th annual "Big Hearts for Little Hearts" golf tournament fundraiser at the Topeka Country Club.
Proceeds from the tournament support programs and services at the Foundation's Children's Endowment Fund, including The Birthplace, the level III Neonatal IntensiveCare center, and a six bed pediatric intensive care unit.
"We use the money to help our children with cancer, or other blood disorders," said Katie McCollom, Development Manager at the Stormont-Vail Foundaiton. "We're also focused on the young adolescent mental health."
McDonalds sponsored the "McMulligan" this year, allowing players who get a mulligan to re-do the shot anywhere on the course.
