TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A giant, inflatable caged pig stood guard outside the South Topeka Walmart store Wednesday.

The group "Mercy For Animals" put it there.

They say Walmart's pork suppliers cruelly confine pigs in narrow gestation crates, and they want the stores to require their suppliers to phase out the practice.

The group says pigs in the crates are unable to turn around, lie down comfortably or engage in basic natural behaviors.
