TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A former star basketball player at Washburn Rural High School faces charges of aggravated battery and robbery in an alleged drug confrontation last summer.

22-year-old Lasharra Riley is charged with intentional aggravated battery, great bodily harm and aggravated robbery.

The Shawnee County District Attorney's complaint states that, on July 17, Riley was armed with a gun and did great bodily harm or disfigurement to Kyle Kuhn while trying to steal drugs in Topeka. No further details are listed in the complaint.

Riley is free on $10,000 bond, while awaiting a docket hearing on Thursday, Nov. 15.
