TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A former Topeka Correctional Facility employee has been sentenced to five years in federal prison on gun charges.
33 year-old Anastacio Gallardo had pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful possession of a firearm to benefit a drug trafficking crime. Gallardo was stopped in a routine traffic violation August 8th 2012.
Topeka Police searched his van and found methamphetamine in a toolbox in the front seat. Along with drug paraphernalia, a radio-frequency scanner and two loaded handguns.
