TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A former bank vice president will not be allowed to delay the start of serving her prison sentence.
Jennifer Hughes-Boyles is to report Thursday to a federal facility in Florida to serve a 30-month sentence for bank fraud.
In a ruling Monday, U.S Judge Richard Rodgers denied her request to stay her sentence, pending the outcome of a motion to withdraw her guilty plea.
Hughes-Boyles admitted in her plea that she defrauded Heritage Bank of more than $2 million by falsifying loan applications.
