Flyin' Pancakes Everywhere At Church Fundraiser

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Pancakes were flying at a local church Saturday morning... quite literally.

An all-you-can-eat pancake feed at St. John's Lutheran drew in the communityh to get their fill of the hotcakes, sausage and beverages.

Chris Cakes, the pancake-flipping, trick-performing catering company tossed plenty of pancakes to those who attended. It was a free breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. with a Goodwill donation.

Kansas Heatland Group of Thrivent Financial partnered with the church to raise money for the Topeka Lutheran School and future TLS basketball tournaments.

Erica Price brought a fun atmosphere early in the morning that made for a successful turn-out. "It's silly, it's fun, it's relaxed, it's a good time," she said.

Thrivent Financial raised more than one thousand dollars Saturday morning. It is the largest non-for-profit financial services company in the United States.
