MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - As football season begins winding down this year the Flint Hills Discovery Center is offering fans a new way to experience the game.
This weekend a new 3,000 square foot exhibition will introduce visitors to the science, mathematics, and technology behind the game of football. It features nine different zones, each addressing a different aspect of the game.
"I think it was just another way to look at a unique American game in a much different light," said Discovery Center Director Fred Goss. "That people could interpret it for themselves but also ultimately come away with something that’s interactive. Just a new perspective and new appreciation for the game that is more popular than ever looking at television ratings and how people follow it online as well."
Visitors will be able to test their skills in areas such as: running speed, reaction time, throwing a football, and much more.
The new exhibit kicks off Saturday, and will run through June 1st.
