Flint Hills Discovery Center Prepares New Exhibit

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - A new exhibit is about to make its debut at the Flint Hills Discovery Center.

Starting Saturday visitors will have the chance to go back in time at the Ice Age Imperials exhibition.

The Discovery Center’s latest installment will provide visitors a rare opportunity to interact with real fossils from ancient animals like the saber-toothed cat and woolly mammoth, as well as answer a variety questions regarding the ice age’s impact on the flint hills region.

"In our immersive experience multimedia presentation we do talk about the impact of the Flint Hills in the glaciation period," said Director Fred Goss. "This is just a great way to put it into a three dimensional perspective. To let people feel and experience it and get a sense of the scale and size of these animals that were here."

Ice Age Imperials is a temporary exhibit that will last until September 14th.
