HOYT, Kan. (WIBW-TV) -- The Jackson County Sheriff's office says a fire at a home on Thursday appears to be accidental.
The Sheriff's Office says in a media release that they received a report of a structure fire at 14191 126th road in rural Hoyt around 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
They say several agencies, including local fire departments, along with the State Fire Marshall's office all responded to the scene.
There was no report of injuries or how much damage the fire caused.
The cause is undetermined but the State Fire Marshall's office says it appears to be accidental in nature. The investigation is ongoing.
