Fire Destroys Oskaloosa Cafe, Realtor's Office

OSKALOOSA, Kan. (WIBW-TV) -- Officials are trying to determine the cause of an overnight blaze that consumed an Oskaloosa cafe.

The fire broke out late Monday evening with crews working into Tuesday morning to contain the fire and put out hot spots.

The owners of Rose's Downtown Cafe said on their Facebook page that the building at 522 Liberty Street is a total loss.

The structure was also home to Pia Friend Realty and a Masonic Lodge.

The restaurant's owner also said that the fire started in the basement, and that none of the equipment was left on.
