TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)__Federal and state agencies are investigating a recent hack into the computer systems of USD 501.
Topeka Public Schools officials say they are taking the appropriate steps to mitigate the problem.
Superintendent Julie Ford says all data within the computer systems is safe but the problem looks to be wide spread.
Ford said, "We have it under control in Topeka Public Schools. It is an investigation at this point. We are working with various outside agencies and we will hopefully know more in the future. It involves a lot more entities than just Topeka Public Schools. We are just one of many."
Officials from Hayden High School., and the Seaman and Shawnee Heights districts tell us they are not experiencing any issues with their computer systems.
