TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)- April is Autism Awareness month and in honor of that an autism expert was in the capital city to inspire others.
Stephen Shore has Asperger Syndrome. He was the feature speaker Saturday at 10 in the morning at the Easter Seals Capper Foundation.
Shore is the author of four books and a DVD about autism. Shore was non-verbal until the age of 4 and he told the audience about his life's biggest struggles and how to overcome them.
Shore says the more we know about autism the better we are at leading people with autism to live fulfilling lives.
