TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) -- One Topeka organization that works for children is pleased to announce a new milestone.
Family Service & Guidance Center raised more than $100,000 in its 7th annual Works of Heart Art Event and Auction.
"We know Topeka is a very generous community, but this exceeded our wildest expectations
The artwork was created by children clients of the guidance center and auctioned off live alongside other regional artists' pieces. 350 people attended the event on August 23.
The outstanding amount - which had never before been achieved - will help the center provide quality, affordable mental health care services to children and families in northeast Kansas.
FSGC is a non-profit community health center that provides services to more than 12,000 children, teens and families a year.
