Family Of Seaman Accident Victim Says Thank You

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The family of a Seaman High School sophomore who died last week in a fiery car crash wants to thank the community for their support.

Michael and Chrystal Hutchison sent 13 News the following statement regarding their daughter Alayna, who was killed February 23.

"On behalf of the family of Alayna Hutchison, We would like to express a heartfelt thank you to EVERYONE for EVERYTHING. There are not enough words to express our gratitude for all the support given to our family at this difficult time. We know how much love we have for Alayna, and to see how much others care for her too, does the heart good. She will be missed dearly but will never be forgotten. Alayna will live in our hearts forever."

The other passenger in the car with Hutchison was 16-year-old Jalen Heald. His mother tells 13 News Jalen underwent one, nine hour surgery last week and is expected to make a complete recovery.
