A family member of a young girl who was in a car wreck last week is asking for the community's prayers.

Last Monday, a deadly wreck in Topeka claimed the life of a Topeka man, 33-year-old Brian Lee Riley and sent 1-year-old Kylynn Gunter to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

Now her family is speaking out. They told 13 News she is still in critical condition at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. She has some swelling on her brain and is being monitored everyday.

Kylynn's aunt and cousin asked the community to pray Sunday at 2:00 p.m.for Kylynn's recovery.

12 -year-old Loren Gunter was also in the crash and was less seriously hurt.

Sheriff's officials believe Riley was heading to the home of the children's mother, Kristen Massey's, after leaving a business in north Topeka.
