WHITING, Kan. (WIBW)-- A father reportedly caught seven family members as they jumped from the second story of a burning home in Whiting overnight.
Six children and the man's wife jumped from the home at 128 E. Whiting St. Thursday morning.
A family bulldog is said to have alerted the family of the fire by scratching on a window outside.
A 13 News viewer submitted photos of the blaze. The photos were submitted around 5 a.m.
According to the viewer, the home was completely destroyed, and belonged to John and Casey Roles.
Information regarding potential injuries and a cause of the blaze was not immediately available Thursday morning.
Whiting, Kansas is about 50 miles north of Topeka.
