TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)- With the below average temperatures Monday made for the perfect day for the family to get outside.

Central Park Community Center was the perfect place to go, as it played host to Family Day at the Pond and WICFest this afternoon.

The Shawnee County Health Agency and Shawnee County Parks and Recreation Department partnered up for the day of fun including games for the kids, fishing in the pond, and even a magician.

Kay Powell, WIC team leader for the Shawnee County Health Agency, says the agency hopes to encourage families to live healthy lifestyles through being physically active and eating a balanced diet.
