TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Two fallen Topeka police officers were remembered Wednesday.

The names of Corporal David Gogian and Officer Jeff Atherly were inscribed into the law enforcement memorial in front of the Law Enforcement Center.

The two were shot and killed responding to a suspicious vehicle call December 16.

Memorial funds have collected nearly $74,000 already. The families will be able to use the money however they see fit.

A fundraiser will be held this Saturday at the Kansas Avenue Market for the fallen officers. It runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on South Kansas Avenue.
