PITTSBURG, Kan. (WIBW) -- At least two people were hurt in an explosion at a fireworks store in southeast Kansas late Tuesday afternoon, according to KOAM-TV.

The CBS-affiliate says he blast happened at Jake's Fireworks along the Highway 69 Bypass, near 20th and Bypass. Family members began arriving at the store around 4:30 p.m.

Their reporter on the scene said two people were flown via helicopter to a nearby medical center. They were still waiting on other officials to learn if more people were hurt.

The explosion shut down northbound lanes of Highway 69. It reopened around 4:00 p.m.
