HARVEYVILLE, Kan. (WIBW) -- Missing a curve in the road appears to be what caused a fatal accident near Harveyville Tuesday evening.
The Kansas Highway Patrol crash log shows Darlene Kelch, 78, of Eskridge, suffered fatal injuries when her Honda Civic was involved in an accident at about 5:20 p.m.
According to the log, Kelch was driving west on K31, about two miles south of Harveyville. It says where the road turns north, Kelch's car appears to have continued straight, leaving the road and ending in a field.
Kelch was taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
