TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Shawnee County voters can head to the polls beginning Monday July 21st to pick whose names they want on the ballot come November.
Early primary voting begins Monday, July 21, at the Shawnee Co. Election Office.
The Election Office, 911 SW 37th Street, will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the first week of early voting. From July 28 through the end of advance voting (Aug. 1), it will stay open an extra hour - until 6:00 p.m.
You can also request to have a mail-in ballot sent to by filling out an application on election office web site or by calling the Election Office at 785-251-5900 and having one sent to you.
The last day to request a mail-in ballot is Friday, August 1. They can then be returned by mail or faxed to the election office at 785-266-0299.
According to the Elections Office, applications for Advanced Ballots must include a copy of the voter’s photo identification or include the number of the applicant’s Kansas driver’s license or Kansas nondriver’s identification card. Additionally, all signatures are verified with those on file. For more information call the Shawnee County Election Office.
