TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - More than $1 million is on the way to Kansas consumers entitled to a credit from a settlement with e-book publishers.

Attorney General Derek Schmidt and the attorneys general of 32 other states filed the price fixing claim with five of the six largest e-book publishers.

Those publishers include:
1. Hachette Book Group Inc.
2. HarperCollins Publishers LLC
3. Simon & Schuster Inc.
4. Holtzbrinck Publishers, LLC, d/b/a Macmillan
5. Penguin Group (USA) Inc.

Watch your email if you bought e-books between April 2010 and May 2012 for information on how to receive the restitution.

Consumers are either receiving a credit to their e-book account, or a refund check from the publisher.

A separate case against Apple, Inc. is still pending; last July, a federal judge found the company played a part in the e-book price fixing conspiracy.
