Driver Charged With Murder, DUI For Wreck That Killed 15-Year-Old

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The Shawnee County District Attorney's Office filed charges Thursday against a Topeka man for an accident that killed a 15-year old girl.

19-year old Hunter Hillmer faces counts of reckless second degree murder, reckless aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, drunk driving, minor consuming or purchasing liquor and reckless driving.

Madison Naill was killed March 19th when the vehicle Hillmer was driving went off SE 45th Street near Tecumseh Road, rolled and hit a tree. Another passenger, 20-year old Blake Hanvy, was injured.

Hillmer was booked into the Shawnee County Jail on the arrest warrant and a probation violation. He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
