MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) -- A Kansas man involved in a single-vehicle crash that killed a 17-year-old boy has been taken into custody.
The Manhattan Mercury (http://bit.ly/19W8FcB ) reports that Riley County police arrested the 20-year-old suspect Friday on charges of involuntary manslaughter and failure to stop at an injury accident. He was released on $10,000 bond.
The Oct. 19 crash two miles northeast of Leonardville killed Trevor Redding. Authorities said the accident happened when the suspect's vehicle skidded, entered a ditch and struck a rock wall. The vehicle then rolled, ejecting Redding, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
