TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- It's a well known farmer's market to Northeast Kansans but now the Downtown Topeka Farmers market is gaining national praise.
The Daily Meal, an online food and drink website, has tabbed it number 63 in this year's list of best farmers markets in America.
Kansas City, Missouri's City Market ranked #42 and Pike Place Farmers Market in Seattle ranked number one.
It is a Topeka tradition since the 1930's and signifies the true return of spring.
From green peppers and onions to home made soap and jelly, you can shop local from 7:30 a.m. until noon at 12th and Harrison every Saturday through November.
