(AP) - One of the 14 Kansas men listed in the boy scouts so-called perversion files is a convicted Lawrence sex offender.
72-year-old James Douglas Jackson was convicted of four sex crimes in 2001 in Douglas County.
He was removed from a Boy Scout unit in Kansas City following allegations he sexually assaulted a boy during a scouting trip. According to the file, Jackson abused a boy in May 1985.
A letter was sent to Jackson saying he had been removed from the Boy Scouts. He had been registered with the organization since 1981.
