TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-The American Kennel Club dog show continued Sunday and dogs from all over the country were at the Expocentre to compete.
Dogs ran around the Landon Arena led by their trainer. The judges choose who wins Best of Breed then go to the Best of Group which then leads to Best in Show.
After all the pampering, hard work and training, winners had nothing but nice words to say.
"My dog is the winner in the herding group and it's always good," said John Burgess.
"It feels great, I used to do her father and now I do her and with lots of training we won the best of breeds and many more. It feels wonderful," said Michelle Dyer.
Organizers say 1,000 dogs competed in Sunday's contests.
