TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A collaboration of cultures entertained people at Washburn University.

The Azteca Art Colorado dance group from Denver showed off traditional dance moves in a noon-hour performance Thursday.

Organizers called it a "warm up" act for the community-wide Dia de los Muertos celebration coming up next week. The Aztec's indigenous traditions are a part of the Mexican culture.

Among lessons shared during the performance was how dance is used as a form of prayer.
