Featured Offender Caught Within Hours

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Just hours after CrimeStoppers asked people for information about the whereabouts of Robert C. Trotter, Jr., the public delivered. Thanks to a tip, Trotter was taken into custody early Tuesday afternoon.

That morning, Crime Stoppers listed the 54 year-old as their Featured Offender of the Week. The Topeka man had a violent track record which included an Attempted Forgery charge in 1998 and an Attempted 2nd Degree Murder conviction a year later. He was released from prison in 2008.

Crime Stoppers said Trotter had not properly registered with law enforcement.
