Crews Work To Clean Up Unidentified Spill In Shunga Creek

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Hazmat crews have been working for hours to figure out what spilled into the Shunga Creek near 15th and Adams.

The spill supposedly happened Friday. 13 News got a tip this afternoon that someone had dumped diesel fuel into the Shunga Creek and did not report it.

Crews arrived on scene Saturday to assess the situation and say the substance in the creek is still undetermined.

Officials are running tests to determineOfficials also say they are in the process of tracking down the source of the spill.
