Crews Investigating House Fire In SW Topeka

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Fire crews are still investigating what started a house fire in SW Topeka Monday afternoon.

Crews were called around 2:00 p.m. to the home at 1829 SW Green Acres Ave.

When they arrived, they saw light smoke coming from the building, and a small fire in the front living room.

An occupant was able to get out of the home through a rear window, and was treated on the scene for minor smoke inhalation.

The fire caused about $25,000 in losses.

Foul play is not suspected, but if you have any information on the fire, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 234-0007.
