Topeka firefighters made quick work of a fire in the capital city Sunday night.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)- Fire Investigators believe an accidental electrical fire caused damage to a Southwest Topeka home Sunday night.

Shortly after 8 P.M., fire crews reported light smoke and flames were coming from a back window of this home in the 2300 block of S.W. Madeline Lane. Firefighters quickly put out the fire and kept it contained in the back bedroom where it started.

The one person inside the home escaped on their own. No injuries were reported.

Investigators believe failed electrical circuits triggered the blaze. Damage is estimated at 13-thousand dollars.
