(WIBW) - Cox Communications says phone service was restored for all of its Cox Business Voice Manager customers by Tuesday night.
Coleen Jennison with Cox says an outage began at about 10 am Tuesday. As of 2 pm, technicians had begun the process of getting service restored. All customers were back online by Tuesday night.
Residential customers were not affected. Jennison says only business customers with the specific Voice Manager service were having difficulty.
"Our technical support teams are working diligently to restore service as soon as possible," Jennison said. "We sincerely apologize."
Jennison did not know exactly how many customers were impacted, but said the outage affected Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ohio, Arkansas and the New England area, where Cox has customers in Rhode Island and Connecticut.
