TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Shawnee County Commissioners honored two employees with 64 years of combined service.
Commissioner Shelly Buhler honored Vicky Haze with the health agency and Marion Brown a Communications Engineer with the Sheriff's Office, for 32 years each of service to Shawnee County.
The Kansas Association of Counties recognizes employees with exemplary service at its annual conference.
A third honoree Marilyn Coleman a corrections specialists was not in attendance.
Buhler said she wanted to honor the trio now, rather than wait until they retired.
