TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Competency and preliminary hearings have been set for the suspect in a string of armed robberies.

Arthur Lee Crain III will appear in court on March 21 for both hearings.

Crane was arrested last August. Topeka police suspect him in nine holdups, including one in which a Domino's pizza employee was sexually assaulted.

He faces more than three dozen counts, including aggravated robbery, rape, and kidnapping.

Crain is still being held at the Shawnee County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
