TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBw) - A new college is well under construction in Topeka.
Rasmussen College hosted a ground breaking ceremony Friday morning for its new campus on Governor View Road, just west of SW 6th and Fairlawn.
The college is a regionally accredited private college that began in 1900 in Minnesota. It now has 22 campuses, and scouted several locations before adding Topeka to the list.
Rasmussen is also opening a campus in Overland Park. Both locations are scheduled to begin classes in spring 2013.
