TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Two clerks at a Topeka liquor store face charges of furnishing liquor to a teen found guilty in a DUI homicide case.

Jurors convicted 19-year-old Hunter Hillmer earlier this week of reckless second degree murder, aggravated battery, drunk driving and reckless driving in the March death of 15-year-old Maddie Naill. Hillmer and another passenger were seriously injured in the accident.

Now, the Shawnee County District Attorney's office is charging two clerks at Murphy's Liquor Store, 400 SW 29th St., with selling alcohol to Hillmer the day of the fatal accident.

Paul Smith and Moses Jackson face a court trial January 8th. Both are charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor.

A 13 News check of Shawnee County District Court records shows Jackson received a suspended sentence this past January on a different case of furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Hillmer is in court December 20th to set a sentencing date for his convictions in the Naill death.
